Yoni Carr (Caricato) began her dance career with the classic Israeli dance troupes Inbal and Karmon, becoming a soloist and touring the world. She performed as a soloist in the Israeli Musical “Jambo,” produced by Avraham Deshea z”l (known as Pashanel). An instructor of Israeli folk dance for over 30 years, Yoni has also directed Camp Yona (1994-2011), Finjan Hilula (3 years), and, since 2000, the Labor Day Mini-Dance Camp.
Yoni is not only an Israeli dance performer and instructor – she has also choreographed several popular dances, including:

A born dancer, Yoni has also performed on Broadway, and was a principal dancer in musicals like “My Fair Lady,” “The King and I” as Eva, and “Hello Dolly.” She also taught ballroom dancing and was a counselor at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio for 13 years.
Yoni currently teaches Israeli folk dancing weekly in San Diego on Monday nights (beginners class starts at 7:00, intermediate & advanced at 7:45 P.M., open dancing until 11:30 P.M.) at the Infinity Sport Dance Center located at 4428 Convoy Street,
San Diego, CA 92111. Admission is $11 ($5 for students with ID required) – refreshments included.
Yoni is also available for special events and private lessons.
