Gadi is a prolific and sought after choreographer as well as a dance leader, producer of large events like his Camp “Bitnua” in Eilat. One of the largest  dance camp in the world

 Gadi is devoted to bringing his love of Israeli Folk Dance to the world.  He inspires the younger generation by creating new, modern dances while sharing his respect for tradition.

He is the choreographer of many  popular dances (350+) to name a few: Im  Tirtzi,  Heye  Chazak,  Elem V’eAlma, Afilu Shesrefot, Einav,  and counting….

 

Yaron is a young, talented choreographer whose star is rising fast. He is charismatic with tremendous energy. He is a dance leader and shares his dance passion with adults, children and teens.

Yaron is a second generation Israeli folk dance artist. His father, Moti Elfasy (z”l), was one of the most important influences in the development of folk dancing in Israel.

Yaron’s best known partner dance: Mor V’eKinamon. His latest hits: Einayim Mul Einayom. Eich Efashar Shelo. Hashir Shel  Miriam.

Mini-Camp with a Full-Camp Program!

The Labor Day Israeli Folk Dance Mini-Camp is packed with as much dancing as any 4-day camp! Each of our guest choreographers teach 5-6 dances during 8 full hours of sessions. Both days feature all-night dance parties showcasing the newest, hottest dances alongside oldies but goodies, partner dances (with the “dance card” that everyone loves!), line dances and special entertainment!

About Yoni Carr & Contact Info

Yoni Carr (Caricato) began her dance career with the classic Israeli dance troupes Inbal and Karmon, becoming a soloist and touring the world. She performed as a soloist in the Israeli Musical “Jambo,” produced by Avraham Deshea z”l (known as Pashanel). An instructor of Israeli folk dance for over 30 years, Yoni has also directed Camp Yona (1994-2011), Finjan Hilula (3 years), and, since 2000, the Labor Day Mini-Dance Camp.

Yoni is not only an Israeli dance performer and instructor – she has also choreographed several popular dances, including:

  • Pitchi Lo Et Libech (P) 2004 (won 10 place at Gadi Bitton dance contest in Israel in 2005)

  • Banu Lasot Samech (C) 1998

A born dancer, Yoni has also performed on Broadway, and was a principal dancer in musicals like “My Fair Lady,” “The King and I” as Eva, and “Hello Dolly.” She also taught ballroom dancing and was a counselor at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio for 13 years.

Yoni currently teaches Israeli folk dancing weekly in San Diego on Monday nights (beginners class starts at 7:00, intermediate & advanced at 7:45 P.M., open dancing until 11:30 P.M.) at the Infinity Sport Dance Center located at 4428 Convoy Street,
San Diego, CA 92111. Admission is $11 ($5 for students with ID required) – refreshments included.
